Singing The Blues

Just down the street from yesterday's shot in Kensington Market, this trio was turning out some really good blues. They had a huge crowd gathered to hear them - the big guy seated at the left has a great voice!

There's something a bit unsettling about a guitarist needing to sit in a chair... unless your BB King, of course.

You can't go wrong with the blues.

That looks like so much fun. In my former life I traveled a lot and I remember being amazed at all the wonderful musical talent in some very unlikely places - small towns, small bars, small venues. Finally, it came to me that "making it" in the music business is very much a matter of luck and being in the right place at the right time.

Thank goodness for groups like this Pat, they're like the undiscovered stars of street music.

Isn't it interesting how many of these bands are middle aged? When I was young, all the bands were guys in their late teens or 20s. No more!
